The  Padre of the Marquess was marooned by pirates along with other captives because they were to expensive to keep. They ate too much. So he was put ashore in the middle of nowhere. And at his request so was the prettiest slave girl.

The  Padre of the (Ship Name) Marquess was marooned by pirates along with other captives because they were to expensive to keep. They ate too much.

"The Padre was putt ashore and as he desir'd, with the prettiest young Female Negro we had in the Prize with some Bays, Linnen, and other thing. He parted with us extremely pleas'd and leering under his Hood upon his black Female Angel. We nae doubt he will crack a Commandment with her, and wipe off the Sin with the Church's Indulgence."
